Pole, space blanket, (200 cm x140 cm)
A silver space blanket was turned into a flag, that was flying from a 15 meter flag pole in front a vast empty lot in the center of the city of Vasaa, Finland. The material of these sheets had been developed by NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in 1964 for the US space program. Reflecting up to 97% of radiated heat it is widely used today as as an emergency aid for people suffering from hypothermia.
