Descent into Matter Wood, plywood, chip boards, plastic bag, trash 80 x 80 x 100 cm Trash can constructed of different boards collected in the industrial zone
around the exhibition venue. The shape is derived from the truncated rhombohedron
in Dürer´s “Melencolia I”. Although highly controversial as to its meaning, there is a general tendency amongst art historians to
interpret the crystalline shape as a reference to Neo-Platonism in which geometry/mathematics was believed to represent the divine order.
